BEHAVIOR THERAPY



  • Behavior therapy is a type of Psychotherapy that focuses on changing undesirable behaviors. Behavior therapy involves identifying objectionable, maladaptive behaviors and replacing them with healthier types of behavior.
    This type of therapy is also referred to a behavior modification therapy.

  • The main components of this approach are as follows:
  • It believes that problems are a product of our environment and it helps clients to develop skills accordingly and thus have more options for responding.
    It allows clients to take ownership of their problems and become more independent by learning self-management skills, assessing overt and covert behaviors and evaluating it.

  • Number of sessions:
  • Participant will be offered 10-12 sessions depending upon the intensity of the problem and the participants response.

  • Duration of the session:
  • Every behavior therapy session would be between 90 min. to 120 min.
